Welcome from Co-op Academy Parkland

Welcome to this week's Parkland Post - what a week it has been!  There has been lots of fantastic learning going on across our academy.  I have been visited by so many pupils who have brought good work to show me - so much so that I have had to put an order in for some new stickers!  It hasn't only been the pupils who have been learning new things this week - we had lots of staff in school today (Saturday) completing their first aid training and I am pleased to report that everyone passed!  Well done to everyone who gave up a day of their weekend to ensure we keep our pupils safe.

We are looking forward to welcoming you into the academy on Monday at 9am for our Harvest singalong.  We are going to be joined by Marianne Clough from St John's Thorpe Edge who will be accepting any donations for the local community food bank.

Kai Mitchell - Be yourself always

For being a kind friend to the other children in class.  After our PSHE sessions about being kind and using kind hands, you have been making sure that your friends have someone to play with and giving high fives and hugs.

Lily-May Hayes - Do what matters most

For your amazing circle spotting in maths!  You found an excellent example of a circular object and brought it back to the carpet to show your friends.  Well done Lily-May!

Mollie Shaw-Tait - Succeed Together

For trying incredibly hard in her independent English writing this week.  The way she has used the resources to support her writing about the fire has been fantastic!  I loved how you chose adjectives by using your imagination to think about the fire.

Since the beginning of Year 6, Jordan has shown the most fantastic attitude and has exceeded in everything he has put his mind to.  I am excited to see how far he will go!
