Welcome to this week's Parkland Post!

What an amazing week we have had at Parkland - each week seems to be getting busier and busier!  We are feeling festive this week as our beautiful Christmas tree arrived.  The Cosy Club on Tuesday decorated it with baubles, tinsel, lights and our helpers finished it all with the star on top.  Each morning when I arrive in school, the tree smells gorgeous and really puts a smile on my face.  Yesterday's Winter Fair was a huge success and brought everyone together for some festive fun.  Mrs Peacock's famous bag stall was the whirlwind we have come to know and love!  Thank you to everyone who volunteered to get things ready and for donating your time; it means such a lot.

Attendance Matters!

This week, our whole school attendance was 91.8% which is a long way off our target of 96%.  I know that lots of children have been poorly this week.  If your child has a belly ache, headache or a runny nose try giving them Calpol, send them in and we will keep an eye on them.

We had two class winners this week - well done to everyone who managed to get themselves in and on time each day!

THANK YOU!

Our Winter Fair was a huge success this week.  The children loved the 'Grow your Fiver' enterprise project as they could work as a class to market a winter-themed product in order to make the largest profit.  Our stalls, including Mrs Peacock's Famous Bag Stall, raised a whopping £605.  Thank you for all of your donations and for shopping local!  We hope you enjoyed yourselves as much as we did!
