Welcome to this week's Parkland Post!

Welcome to a very Baltic Parkland Post!  This week, the weather has really taken a wintry turn.  Please can I ask that you make sure you send your child with a warm coat (with their name in) and a hood so they can keep themselves toasty warm in the playground.

We have lots of events coming up over the next few weeks so please make sure you regularly check our key dates page on the website:  https://www.parkland.coopacademies.co.uk/parents/key-events

Non-Uniform Day on Monday

We are having a non-uniform day on Monday and are asking for a donation for our Winter Fair which is taking place on Thursday 4th December from 3:15pm in the Hall.  If you can send donations of chocolate, gifts, toiletries etc that would be fabulous.  Mrs Peacock will then use these donations to stock her famous bag stall at our Fair!

Spotlight on Fabulous Work!

One of my favourite things I get to do as Headteacher is celebrate children's hard work, especially when it has been a bit tricky and it has meant that there has been extra effort to produce fabulous work.  I have been lucky enough to see work from all year groups this week, either in class or when the children have visited my office.

We have a 'Spotlight on Good Work' board on the main corridor in our academy.  When you are next in, make sure to have a look at the super examples of work our children have produced.

Attendance Matters!

This week, our whole school attendance was 95.6% which is so very nearly at our target of 96%!  Thank you for getting your children into school on time each day!  Let's see if we can crack the 96% target next week!

Miss Murray had a VERY big smile on her face this week as attendance is heading in the right direction - long may it continue!

Three classes were above the target of 96% and have been rewarded an extra playtime!  Year 1 were our overall winners with 96.7% - they won a non-uniform day on the Attendance Wheel (Miss Heald will let you know which day it will be as we already have one on Monday).
