Parkland Post - Friday 11th July 2025

Welcome to a very hot and sticky Parkland Post - I hope you have managed to stay in the shade and keep cool!  Next week, the weather is meant to stay warm so your children can still come into school in their PE kit and trainers.  We have one more week left until we break up for the summer and there are lots of events happening so please check our Key Events section of our website for further details.  Next Friday, there will be class parties in the afternoon so children can bring a change of clothes if they wish to change out of their activewear.

Friday Assembly 18.7.25

It will be our final Celebration Assembly of the year next Friday at 9am.  Children will receive their attendance certificates for the year and we will be giving out our Pupil of the Year awards.  Once the main assembly has finished, we invite our Year 6 class to the front of the hall for their Leavers' Assembly and Year 6 parents are welcome to join us for this.  I would like to thank everyone for coming to support us this year in assemblies; we do love sharing our successes with you.

Attendance Matters

This week our whole school attendance was 91.4% which is lower than last week's.  Our winning class was Year 3 with 95.4%.  They won a new classroom game which they get to choose on the Attendance Wheel - well done!!  Next Friday, we will be drawing the raffle for the £50 Just Eat voucher - if your child is in school every day next week and on time, they will be entered into the draw!  Remember, you have to be in it to win it!

And finally...

I hope you have a wonderful weekend, please remember to apply sun cream regularly and drink lots of water in the heat.  I am going to be spending time with my family, Ms Pascoe is going to her son's football award celebration, Mrs Shirra is going for lunch with friends and Mr Watson will be meeting up with friends.  Whatever you decide to do, I hope you have a super time doing it!
